Waxing is one of the best ways to temporarily remove unwanted hair. It is more effective than shaving because it removes hair from the roots and not just from the skin’s surface. Over time hair in waxed areas regrows lighter and more sparse or can not grow back at all.
How long does my hair need to be?
Hair needs to be 1/4 inch long (think of the length of a grain of rice at the minimum) for us the longer the better. If the hair is long, we can always trim it here at the salon.
If it is too short, the hair will be very difficult to removed. If you have shaved, please allow between 3-6 weeks of hair growth between appointments.
What is the different styles of a bikini wax?
Ok, so we have 4 different styles to choose from.
THE STANDARD BIKINI LINE- Pretty much what is says on the tin, we wax the hair outside of the panty line.
THE G STRING- High bikini line which includes the peri anal and inner buttock.
BRAZILIAN- All hair removed from the vagina except a small line or triangle at the top above the lips, includes peri and inner buttock, except a small line or triangle at the top above the lips.
HOLLYWOOD- All hair removed from Vagina, peri and inner buttock- All gone!
How long will the results last?
Appointments are usually scheduled every 4 weeks. If this is your first waxing experience you can reasonably expect your results to last between 3 and 6 weeks with minimal growth in the days and weeks following your appointment, depending on your hair growthh cycle.
Hair regrowth patterns are cyclical and you will notice an improvement in regards to the longevity of your results as you become regular with your waxing services.
Is waxing safe for those with sensitive skin?
Absolutley!! It is much gentler on the skin than many other methods of hair removal such as shaving. Our wax is vegan and designed for sensitive skin. It is also important very important to follow the instructions in the pre-waxing guide, as well as the post-waxing guide to ensure the best care of your skin.
What type of wax is used?
All waxes used are Vegan and cruelty free!
Our waxes are dedicated to those clients with sensitive skin.
Most waxing services require the use of hard wax, which hardens on the skin and is then removed.
Hard wax is perfect for the use on people who have sensitive skin as the wax encapsulates each individual hair and does not attach to the skin.
For some of the services we offer other wax options such as strip wax, or soft wax.
Stripwax is applied to the skin and a small piece of paper is pressed over the top and is removed in that fashion.
We use strip wax mostly on leg and arm services, but if you prefer to use hot wax please let your therapist know.
Do you treat men?
Yes! However, we do not offer male intimate waxing at this time.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 'HOT WAX' & 'STRIP WAX'?
With HOT WAX a layer of wax is applied, this semi-hardens and is then removed in a quick smooth action against the direction of hair growth.
This method is recommended for less breakage and therefore longer re-growth periods and less ingrowns. It also promotes skin hydration and is highly recommended for sensitive areas like the bikini line.
Strip wax/ warm wax is appied the same way as hot wax but is removed with a paper strip.

You are more than welcome to bring a friend with you but we would ask them to wait for you at the reception on the ground floor or in a nearby cafe.
SUNBEDS AND WAXING
We ask our clients not use sunbeds for 1 week prior to their waxing appointment and to also avoid going for a sunbed for 3 days after their waxing appointment. This is a precautionary measure because the skin may retain heat from the sunbed and waxing over the area could cause the skin to lift or peel.
